Open Submission

Open Call…for articles within the horror and science fiction genres. These can be movie reviews, pop culture topics, video games, and even opinion. Minimum word count for articles is 800 words. No max set, though we’ve never seen anything go beyond 3,000 words (please don’t take that as a challenge).

With each article, we help promote the writer. If you write books, we help promote your books. If you are a podcaster and write for other sites, we also help promote your work their as well. This is how contributors “get paid.” Not even senior editors “get paid.” Machine Mean earns no revenue from what is published. This is a totally free website. What we do is have fun and get to talk about a genre we love. A platform is which to voice your opinion and to demonstrate your voice to potential readers.
